Paul J. Corrado, Attorney & Counselor at Law

 

In November 2001, Mr. Corrado opened his own law practice in Cleveland, Ohio. He represents employers and employees in labor and employment matters.

After graduating from law school, Mr. Corrado completed a clerkship under the Honorable Charles R. Richey, District Court Judge for the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Since entering private practice in 1986, Mr. Corrado has practiced labor and employment law at large and midsize law firms in Cleveland and Pittsburgh. During this time, he was elected to partnership/shareholder status at Buchanan Ingersoll Professional Corporation, Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur and McDonald, Hopkins, Burke & Haber Co. He is individually AV-rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Mr. Corrado has successfully litigated labor and of employment cases before state and federal courts and administrative agencies including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the Ohio Civil Rights Commission, the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and the National Labor Relations Board.

A significant part of his practice is devoted to advising clients on day to day employment policies and practices and issues concerning personnel policies, anti-harassment policies and procedures, wage and hour matters, downsizing procedures, severance agreements, disciplinary matters and termination of employment.

A firm believer in preventive employment practices, Mr. Corrado conducts seminars and training on such subjects as: preventing workplace discrimination and harassment, proper documentation, performance appraisals, discipline and dischargeand proper administration of employee leaves.

Previously, Mr. Corrado was a social worker and therapist at Providence Mental Health Center, a community based mental health program, and in residential treatment centers.
